Investiture Ceremony for U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Albregts
On Thursday, October 17, 2019, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada will host the formal investiture ceremony of The Honorable Daniel J. Albregts, United States Magistrate Judge for the District of Nevada. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following at the Las Vegas Country Club.
Members of the Clark County Bar Association are invited to attend the event; however the court requests for people to RSVP by October 10, 2019, to Albregts_Invite@nvd.uscourts.gov.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel Joseph Albregts was selected to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Carl W. Hoffman, Jr., United States Magistrate Judge in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judge Hoffman who retired in August 2019.
Mr. Albregts had been an attorney in private practice in Las Vegas since 1993. He was an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Las Vegas from 1990-1993 and a Deputy Public Defender in Colorado from 1987-1990. Mr. Albregts received both his law degree and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Mr. Albregts assumed the position of a United States Magistrate Judge on August 5, 2019. The term of appointment is eight years.
