Guardianship and Probate Case Recusals, Disqualifications Ordered at the Eighth Judicial District Court

On August 26, 2015, the Eighth Judicial District Court Chief Judge David Barker filed an administrative order to address the assignment of probate matters in the Clark County, Nevada court. See Administrative Order 15-08 (PDF):  EJDC-AO-15-08

The order states, “pursuant to EDCR 1.30(b), that in adult guardianship cases where Department G either recuses or is disqualified, the case from which Department G recuses or is disqualified shall be randomly re-assigned to one of three departments consisting of Department 23, Department 26, and Department 27.” The court further ordered, “pursuant to EDCR 1.30(b), that in probate cases where Department 26 either recuses or is disqualified, the case from which Department recuses or is disqualified shall be randomly re-assigned to one of three departments consisting of the Civil Presiding Judge, Department 4, and Department 27.”
