Call for Volunteers to Judge Moot Court Competitions

On February 16, March 9, March 10, April 20, and April 21, 2018, CCBA’s New Lawyers Committee will be organizing volunteers to judge the law students during the competition rounds of three events at the William S. Boyd School of Law. All members of the Nevada bar and bench are invited to participate. Judging the competition qualifies as pro bono service (pursuant to NRPC 6.1)!

To qualify to judge at these moot court competitions, the volunteer must be a law school graduate, at least.  To volunteer, please follow the links below to register (via Constant Contact):

  1. Lloyd D. George Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition

  2. 3rd Annual Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition  – Information Updated 3-6-2018

    Dates:

    • Friday, March 9, 2018 (6 to 9 pm) – Volunteers needed – (Appetizers will be served)
    • Saturday, March 10, 2018 (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) – Volunteers needed – (Breakfast & Lunch will be served)
    • Saturday, March 10, 2018 (2:00 to 3:30 pm) – Volunteers needed – (Cocktail reception at 3:30pm)

    Hosts: William S. Boyd School of Law’s Moot Court Competition Team, Society of Advocates, and Gaming Law Journal

    About: The Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition focuses on emerging issues at the intersection of gaming law and regulation. Competitors will hone their appellate advocacy skills before prominent jurist and gaming practitioners in the gaming capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada. Food and drinks will be provided.
