Bank of Nevada CEO John Guedry to Address Nevada Education at Clark County Bar Luncheon

On Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., members of the Nevada bar and bench are invited to attend the Clark County Bar Association’s luncheon sponsored by  Bank of Nevada, A division of Western Alliance Bank. Member FDIC, and  Media Marketplace and hosted by CCBA President Tami D. Cowden, Of Counsel, Greenberg Traurig LLP at Morton’s The Steakhouse in Las Vegas. All members of the Nevada bar and bench are invited to attend; however, seating will be limited to people who RSVP to CCBA BEFORE Friday, June 16, 2017.

Featured speaker  John Guedry, CEO of Bank of Nevada, plans to address the topic of education and vocational training in Nevada, including workforce development, STEM Training. Guedry will focus on these areas as they relate to the Nevada Plan and touch on how to leverage assets in industry targets and expand opportunities.

John Guedry has 35 years of experience in financial services and related industries in Nevada. Now CEO, Mr. Guedry joined Bank of Nevada in 2011, serving as both President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Bank of Nevada, he was the CEO and President of Business Bank of Nevada until it was purchased by City National Bank in 2007, where he remained as Executive Vice President before joining CB Richard Ellis as a Managing Partner. Active in a number of civic and community endeavors, Guedry serves as a board member of the UNLV Foundation and the Las Vegas Bowl, is an Executive Committee and Board member for both the Public Education Foundation and Las Vegas Metro Chamber, and is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber Board of Trustees. He is also a Legislative Committee Member for the Nevada Bankers Association and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. A native of New Orleans, Mr. Guedry moved to Las Vegas with his family in 1974. He graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He and his incredible wife of 32 years, Debra, have two talented daughters, Jennifer and Jaclyn & two active twin grandsons Bradley and Brayden.
