Educational Surrogate Parent Program - A volunteer opportunity for non-lawyers
Interested adults are invited to attend an orientation/training meeting to become advocates for foster children with disabilities in local schools. The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada provides training and support to volunteers who are willing to become Educational Surrogate Parents for children with disabilities, ensuring that their schools are meeting their disability-related needs.

No experience is necessary – only a desire to be an advocate for foster children. Training and support will be provided to Educational Surrogate Parent Program volunteers throughout the life of their assigned case.
