Communiqué Discounts

All display ad rates listed above reflect gross cost per insertion.  Discounts available:

CCBA Member Discount: CCBA Members have a choice of either 10% off of the ad rate or free ad design built by CCBA. Artwork must meet required dimensions and format. CCBA members do not receive the discount if artwork submitted does not meet these artwork requirements.

Agency Discount: Recognized advertising agencies ONLY receive a 15% discount. CCBA members represented by an ad agency do not receive both the agency discount and the member discount.


Communiqué Artwork Requirements

Artwork design for display ads must be submitted with the correct dimensions, with the correct color and resolution settings, and must be submitted as an electronic graphic file in the following accepted electronic formats on disk or via e-mail to Steph Abbott ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) at the offices of the Clark County Bar Association. Preferred file format is PDF. Other file formats considered are EPS, TIFF, or JPG.

Artwork (including all elements used to make artwork) resolution settings must not fall below 300 DPI (dots per inch) with color ads recommended to not fall below 400 DPI, and line art items to not fall below 1200 DPI. Do not use rules less than .25 point.

Black and white ads should be formatted with grayscale settings (Gray Gamma 1.8 or 2.2).

Color ads should be formatted for 4-color printing with CMYK settings. No spot, duotone, or monochrome settings. All RGB, LAB, Index colors, and spot colors must be converted to CMYK (U.S. Prepress Defaults).

It is the responsibility of the advertiser to secure delivery of artwork to the publisher.


Communiqué Design Costs

Typesetting and design are available should the advertiser require assistance producing the artwork to specified requirements. Clients requiring artwork design or artwork built to requirement, must submit copy and any graphics by the 1st of the month preceding publication (cover) date.

For CCBA members only, this fee can be waived in exchange for discounted rate.


Communiqué Closing Dates

Advertising space must be reserved with signed insertion order and payment at least one month prior to publication (cover) date (e.g. March 1 for April cover). Final approved artwork is due by the closing date.

All orders not cancelable after the closing date. When change of copy is not received by the closing date, copy run in the previous issue will be inserted.

Notes: An early deadline is due to affects that the holidays have on production, printing & mailing of a particular issue. Communiqué's editorial calendar and closing dates may change without notice at any time.


Communiqué Format

Content: Communiqué publishes timely court and legal news, practical legal articles, features, bar activities, and event calendars. Space is available for businesses to showcase their goods and services.

Circulation: Approximately 1,600 attorneys, judges, legal professionals and paid subscribers in southern Nevada, Reno, and across the United States. Circulation varies with the number members in the association.

Publication & Format: Published in second week of the month, 11 times per year, with an issue published monthly except for July by the Clark County Bar Association. Magazine trim size: 8 1/2” width by 11” height and saddle-stitched. Paper: 70 lb. gloss book. Materials and format are subject to change without notice.

Advertising Policy

All advertisers (display and classified) must adhere to size specification, standards and policies contained on the publication's official rate/spec sheet . The publisher’s schedule of insertion order and copy deadlines must be observed in order to assure publication.

Appearance of an advertisement in Communiqué neither constitute a recommendation nor an endorsement of that product or service by the Clark County Bar Association.

Liability of the publisher for any error for which it may be held legally responsible is limited to the cost of the advertisement. All advertising is subject to publisher’s approval. CCBA reserves the right to reject advertising which, in the opinion of the publisher, is not in keeping with its publication standards.

Costs incurred by the publisher for production work done on advertisements will be charged to the advertiser. When change of copy is not received by the closing date, copy run in the previous issue will be inserted.

Cancellation of any advertisement must be made in writing at least ninety (90) days in advance of the publication date. A cancellation fee equivalent to three (3) months of advertising will be due upon the cancellation of the contract. In the case of advertising placed by an agency, the agency and the advertiser are jointly and severally liable for the price of the advertising space. All orders are non-cancellable after the closing date.


Billing & Payment

All first-time display ads must be paid in advance. All classified ads must be paid in advance. Costs incurred by the publisher for production work done on an advertisement will be charged to the advertiser.

Payments should be sent to: Clark County Bar Association, 725 S. Eighth St., Las Vegas, NV 89101. Forms of payment accepted are check, money order or credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, Visa). Checks should be made payable to Clark County Bar Association.
