Notice of Expected Road Closures in Downtown Las Vegas – November 17, 2013

Be aware. Plan ahead.

On Sunday, November 17, 2013, access to downtown Las Vegas will be affected by the 2013 Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon and ½ Marathon to benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. The race course will pass through the downtown Las Vegas where many attorneys and law firms have offices. Residents and businesses located near the race coure are urged to plan ahead and to be aware of road closure schedules and alternate access routes. The races officially start at 4:30 p.m., but the course and the surrounding areas will see road closures much earlier in the day.

Road Closures Expected
Most road closures and detours will be in effect between the hours of 2:00 pm and 11:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Between 2:00 pm and 3:00 p.m., police and event personnel may implement a soft closure along the entire race course. The streets will reopen on a rolling basis as soon as the last participant has passed and all course support materials have been removed. Streets along the earlier miles of the route will open earlier than roads along the end of the route.
