Liberty Bell Award Nominations Sought 

Each year the CCLF Community Service Committee receives nominations and selects the recipient(s) for the Liberty Bell Award, awarded at the CCBA Luncheon in May. All nominations must be received by March 31. Nomination guidelines

TBP Summer Course Now Accepting Applications

Each summer, the Clark County Law Foundation's internationally acclaimed Trial By Peers program offers an 8 to 10 week course to youth between the ages of 12 and 17. Students accepted into the program are trained in all aspects of the criminal justice system. Upon completion of the course, they are sworn in by a judge to serve as peer counselors in the TBP program, which enables them to prosecute and defend actual cases of their peers in a court of law. The NV Professionalism Summit Committee held an essay competition which was open to all Boyd School of Law students; the topic, "Professionalism in the Practice of Law."  Entries were evaluated for writing quality and clarity, interest of the topic and content, analysis and reasoning, creativity and several other aspects. CCBA to Provide Speakers for Downtown Cultural Series

William S. Boyd School of Law Volunteers Needed! Judging the competition qualifies as pro bono publico service (pursuant to NRPC 6.1). It is the intention of the CCBA New Lawyers Committee, with the assistance of seasoned attorneys, to provide new lawyers with the opportunity to develop their legal skills and ensure that new practitioners are provided the guidance necessary to thrive and become positive additions to our tight-knit legal community. All that is asked of mentors is to be available to answer a call or email from a colleague seeking advice or a little guidance.
